Thorpe Park Minecraft to Remain Open, but Major Development Has Concluded

After years of development and hundreds of hours of work, FlixStudios has made the decision to conclude major development on Thorpe Park Minecraft.

This means that no brand-new rides or major expansions are planned for the foreseeable future. However, the server will remain online, allowing players to continue exploring and enjoying everything the project has to offer.

This decision has not been made lightly. As development continues on FlixStudios' largest project to date—LEGOLAND Windsor Minecraft—it has become clear that maintaining two large-scale theme park recreations is no longer practical for a solo-developed server. By focusing development on a single project, FlixStudios can continue delivering the level of quality players have come to expect.

Most importantly, Thorpe Park Minecraft is not closing. The server will continue to operate as normal, and seasonal experiences such as Fright Nights are still planned. This announcement simply marks the end of major content development, while ensuring the project remains available for everyone to enjoy.

Thorpe Park Minecraft has grown into one of FlixStudios' most ambitious and rewarding projects. Since development began, the goal has always been to recreate the park as faithfully as possible while creating an enjoyable experience for players.

As the project has developed, attention has increasingly shifted towards LEGOLAND Windsor Minecraft—an even larger undertaking that requires significant time and dedication. As FlixStudios is a solo-developed server, dividing development between two large-scale projects is no longer sustainable.

For players, very little will change.

The server will remain online and fully playable, with all existing attractions and experiences continuing to be available.

However, no new rides or major expansions are planned for the foreseeable future. Essential maintenance will continue where required, and Fright Nights remains planned, with more information to be shared closer to the event.

While this marks the end of major development for Thorpe Park Minecraft, it also marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for FlixStudios.
